How did Way’s journey begin?

We are passionate about real-world human interaction. It has always bothered us, that in today’s world humans in public spaces hardly interact with each other. If you don’t know a person and you are together with them in a U-Bahn for 30 minutes, you are just locked into awkward silence. We have been trying to solve this problem with a simple local social network until we realized that we need to construct an entire augmented reality layer. This brought us to the blockchain, because the only way to structure information in this augmented reality in a relevant and fair manner is decentralization.

What do you do and makes your service exciting?

We create the blockchain infrastructure for the augmented reality layers that will soon be put on top of the real world. In augmented reality, strangers can use otherwise wasted time for valuable interaction. We are the first to think of a fair and scalable way to allocate the scarce space and attention in these layers.

What kind of talent are you looking for?

Crypto-enthusiasts of all kinds! If you understand how important decentralization is, we are sure you will have the energy to learn everything else that’s required.

Can you describe the work environment at Way?

We are a very early stage startup located at the best coworking space in Berlin The Place. We are highly mission driven, hard working and passionate people who love to make a difference. We are extremely honest and direct with each other and we love the magic of life.

What growth opportunities do you offer to your employees?

We are launching an ICO in the next months and from then on we will be paying very competitive salaries. But most importantly, long term contributors will be rewarded with the token that will be used to get attention in the public augmented reality layer of the future.
