Now it’s time to tell everything about Netlight! What problem are you solving?

Netlight was founded in the middle of the digital revolution in 1999, developing solutions for the pioneers of the Internet. Netlight Consulting is an IT and Management consultancy company. We work with some of the largest names within the forefront of digitalization, employing more than 1000 talented individuals in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and Zurich. We have been awarded several times as top employer, as well as for our growth, continued profitability and our engagement for equality within the IT industry.

What do you do and makes your service exciting?

We implement new solutions, covering media, games and gambling, e-commerce, finance and payment and the industrial Internet of Things. We are helping leaders of the digital industry to be successful, this means that some things actually have never been done before. Projects need to be conducted in close cooperation with the client which implies local presence of our own people. We do not outsource work. We are solution providers in the sense that we are a reliable partner where there is no apparent solution. We are proud to be leaders of the digital revolution!

What growth opportunities do you offer to your employees?

Every employee gets a personal mentor, senior consultant and career coach to guide the employee throughout their career. On assignments at our clients, every team gets a Technical Manager to support the team throughout the project. The employee also gets the combined knowledge of Netlight on our communication platform Slack, where a consultant can ask a technical question to everyone at Netlight and get an imidate response. The employee is never alone at the client. The employee can at any time reach out to her/his mentor, technical manager or to 999 colleagues at Netlight on Slack.

We have transparent salary levels for all consultants. This means clear information on what is required of every consultant on every level, and all the consultants on the same level has the same salary. Consultants are placed in a level based on performance, which is evaluated by Netlight peers twice every year. By involving more people, we remove unconscious bias, enabling transparency.

Genuine Consulting Program is our comprehensive personal and career growth program for consultants.

Twice a year, all Netlighters take part in an in-depth exploration of their own development, looking back on the last six months and reflecting upon what’s been achieved and where we want to improve. It’s also an opportunity to give the colleagues an outside perspective of themselves, by giving them honest and constructive feedback.

Edge is what we call our knowledge sharing, which occurs at events by Netlighters for Netlighters and our clients, as well as every day on Slack.

What’s the tech scene like in Berlin? Are you happy to have started Netlight there?

Berlin is a steady growing market and we are very happy to have opened up our Netlight office here 2,5 years ago. With a variety of 12 different clients in many industries, we are growing our office at a steady pace.
